Don't you wish you were 10 and forced to take naps?

Poor husband...didn't even make it to the bed. With only a couple of hours sleep in the last two days, he has finally crashed. TGIF. Maybe it's because of the heat, but this week felt way too long. We have a busy weekend ahead of us as well. Well, more like I have an insane weekend waiting for me to pack up for three people in preparation for our trip to St. Louis on Tuesday. When you get married, you automatically become indentured to this type of work, lest you will be in the company of a husband or son without socks, underwear or toothbrush in the middle of your vacation.

I am getting a haircut. It's about time. I might get some highlights. And bangs. In short, I have no clue as to what sort of hair styling I want. My excursions to the hair cuttery is more like a hit or miss thing. I went to at least three hair salons at the mall today to find out if they offer hair straightening services. Of course they do, but not for my kind of hair. "It's too fine," the lady from Colors said. I did not pass the "Is your hair kinky enough" test. Well, couldn't they just adjust the chemicals to suit my hair? Nope. That took me by surprise because in the Philippines, you can get your hair straightened, relaxed, or rebonded (whatever that means) from even the cheapest salons in the neighborhood. But then again, everybody's trying to get a straight hair and fair skin in the Philippines. I am not going to go into that kind of discourse right now.

So we shall see how things will turn out tomorrow. I'm officially exhausted, mostly due to the humidity. Re'Sean had fallen asleep with sugar on his face after eating cinnamon sticks. His dad has long gone off to dreamland. Time to relocate him. Good night everyone!
