New Year's Eve!!

Well it's New Year's Eve. This year surely went by quickly. I feel like I have so many things yet unaccomplished. I've been one busy little bee. There’s nothing like becoming a parent. It makes you realize the significance of time. I remember days when I would sleep till about 2 p.m. Not anymore; I'm up at the crack of dawn (most days earlier) changing diapers, filling bottles and shuttle the little booger off to daycare all before my work day begins at around 5 a.m. Whew! That’s just the beginning. Some nights Idon't get off until after 7 p.m. meaning I have to pick up my little bundle of joy from daycare and find a suitable sitter (will discuss that more in depth later) all during what's supposed to be dinner time. So I stop by my house on the way back to work and pop one of those Boca burgers in the old trusty microwave slap it between some bread and put some cheese, ketchup, and mustard on it and call that dinner.
I most likely won't make it to see the ball drop, unless of course my son decides to wake up at 11:58 p.m. or so screaming because he needs something and I have to try my best to figure it out before I start crying too. I still need to fold three loads of laundry from the day after Christmas. My family came to visit, which was very nice. I sure was happy to see them go back to their house though. Too bad, your relatives don't care about your house rules. After driving 7 hours one way to return my parents back to their house and then another 6 the next day to get my son and I back home, I had the pleasure of picking up cigarette butts from all around the exterior of my apartment thanks to dear old Dad. Not that all old people stink, but they do have a unique smell to them which had permeated my couch which was Febreezed until it was to my liking again.
Now I sit (for God only knows how long I have until my son wakes from his nap) trying to type a Blog entry so Vice will stop badgering me. Well, I must attempt to find something to eat (Hmm, I wonder if the ham from Christmas is still safe?) and do a few more chores while it’s nap time.

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

God Bless!
