Nikki Johnson, that's me, well not really, it's just the name I write under. I suppose you all would like to know a little about me so here goes. I was born in the 80's and raised in Alabama, so for those of you who like Girls Raised in the South. a.k.a. G.R.I.T.S this is the place you want to be. I'm the mother of one, the sister of one and the wife of no one. I consider myself to be a pretty good person and love good conversation, so don't be afraid to drop me a line if you are feeling some of my writings. A few inspirations for my writings are people, music, and nature itself. I feel that writing is my best form of expression. It's therapeutic in a sense. Maybe one day I'll be famous. Mom and Dad are always saying, "Make us proud," and that's what I'm trying to do these days.

Okay enough of that. I had mentioned music as one of my inspirations. Now, a few of my favorite artists are as follows: Prince (he'll always be known to me as this) Aretha Franklin and Al Green to name a few. I also have some recommendations. I really like this girl named Joss Stone. She has a very powerful voice to be her age. Also, I'm really feeling Lizz Wright. I've seen her live twice now. If you ever get a chance to see her live you should definitely do it. If you like the C.D., you will love the performance.

In case you're wondering about nature's inspirations, well my two favorite times of day are sunrise and sunset. I love rain, well, when I don't have to be in it. I love the ocean, even though I can't swim in it and probably won't get too close to it. You see I have this strange fear of large bodies of water. I do believe it may have something to with not being able to swim.

People influence and inspire me to write, especially, those who have touched my life. I feel as though the least I could do is share my gift with them by writing something for them or about them. Now, I have met a lot people over the years that have inspired me and though something may not be on paper just yet it's in the making. Maybe a few of them will stop by this website and know that one of my writings is about them.
