July

I took some time off from work, much needed time! I know, those of you in the know realize that is a rarity for me. Paid a visit to King's Dominion - loved it. Re'Sean really liked it. He has a streak of courage I didn't get until I was an adult - Roller coasters! The only thing that held him back was his size! He was too short to get on the really big ones. Which is good, because he wanted me to accompany him - Ha! I am not ready for the really big ones either! So, things are working out nicely for us in that aspect. We went with a friend of mine from work and his kids. We all had a good time for the most part.

A perfect day to be out on the lake was yesterday. I am sure you are thinking there have been other "perfect days", but I wasn't at the lake on those days, so in essence your theory is flawed - making it not perfect. :-) Anyway, Re'Sean and I accompanied friends out to Lake Anna. It was a lot of fun. Re'Sean fished, swam in the lake, and took his turn on the wave runner. He was even allowed to "drive" the wave runner. Needless to say, he had a great time! So did I. Oh yeah, NO, we didn't catch anything fishing. It wasn't my fault. Honest! Um, the minnows we used as bait, had objections to being used that way! Um, the fish decided to go out and eat at Red Lobster instead of eating at Lake Anna. Um... help me out, what are some of the other excuses/reasons used for coming back fishless? The good thing is, we weren't fishing for our dinner. We would have been hungry!

Unfortunately for us, school starts on Monday. Welcome to year round school! I have a soap box about this, but today I don't feel like it. I am going to try and enjoy the rest of my Sunday. I have homework starting next week, I need to clear my mind. If my memory serves me correct ~ no comments, JK! :-), 2nd grade was tough, a lot of fundamentals need to be absorbed that the rest of your school career, no, your life could depend on. So, for the rest of you enjoy the rest of your summer...
